Leaving Bali

My spot for the day
Our flight wasn't until evening so we didn't rush the morning, meeting around 9am at the buffet. This time it was game on - we needed this food to last us most of the day. I'm sure the staff were sick of picking plates off our table.

After breakfast, I carefully repacked everything into my bag, neatly folding with my plane-clothes at the top. I can't be the only one who has a plane outfit! We dropped our bags and checked out at midday. They then nicely let us spend the next few hours by the pool - reading, swimming and improving (or in my case - starting) our tans. There was a drone shoot happening and a wedding set up.

For the first time in two weeks the weather turned. The wind picked up and it began to spit. So around 4pm we had foot massages down the road in order to stay indoors somewhere. Josh stayed in the air-con 'reading room' at the hotel because he hates massages.

The hotel reading room
Hungry, at 5pm Josh and I went back to Bumbu Bali for our last supper in Bali. We accidentally ordered a chicken curry and my tum felt a bit funny afterwards. We were back at 5.30pm to get changed. I had to use the toilet twice in the hotel lobby and took a 'stopper' as Nyoman arrived with our taxi to get me through the airport. I had avoided Bali-belly in the entire holiday, which has to be a winning record for my digestion, up to the last couple of hours.

Last meal
I felt really yuck in the taxi but did breathing exercises to calm my stomach down. I re-shuffled everything in my bag at check-in because I'd thought I lost my NZ wallet - but it was there and we were ready to go! I made it through customs in one piece but immediately needed to find the airport toilets again.  The others had dinner at the Hard Rock cafe. I got back 5 minutes before we had to be at our gate - there were rushed goodbyes and off we went!
